It is our desire to involve caring and dedicated volunteers in our region of Benton, Cass, Chisago, Crow Wing, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, Wadena, Wright counties to help carry out our mission of helping older people attain and maintain the highest level of independence possible.

We strive to develop and coordinate services for seniors that promote independence, reduce isolation, offer choice and increase the number of alternatives to nursing home care. Volunteers join us in this effort by involving themselves in the following:

Health Insurance Counseling Volunteers-Help Medicare beneficiaries understand Medicare, Medicare Savings
programs, and private health insurance plans, help process claims and make appeals and advocate on behalf of the
client when needed.

Intercambio Project- Looking for a way to practice your Spanish? Don’t know Spanish, but want to learn a little about the community and welcome new members to Whitney?
